Reliable Service: NDIS Community Nursing Care
People with disabilities are constantly accompanied by their complex health care needs. This means that individuals with different abilities often require daily support that is consistent and intensive. Disability is incredibly diverse; consequently, the level of care required varies from individual to individual.
While some individuals may require daily long-term nursing care to function, others may have minimal medical needs. Community Nursing Care under the NDIS is frequently the saviour for those with extensive health care needs.
Under Community Nursing Care, NDIS participants have access to the services of competent and qualified nurses who are trained in a wide range of skills, including complex bowel care, wound management, catheter care, and subcutaneous injections. These professionals are responsible for administering the participant’s prescribed medications as well as managing their enteral feeding tube.
These professionals require not only medical knowledge but also cultural sensitivity and empathy for their patients. KrisCare, along with other registered NDIS service providers, invests a substantial amount of time in recruiting competent and compassionate individuals.
This allows us to meet the mental and physical medical needs of our patients and aid in their recovery. We offer both short-term and long-term nursing care in the comfort of your own home or another location of your choice.
Participants can connect with registered nurses who will provide support through Community Nursing Care. These supports will reduce the impact of the participant’s disability on their functional capacity, thereby enhancing the participant’s ability to engage in daily tasks.
Depending on the nature of your disability, some community nurses can help you develop care plans and conduct continence evaluations. A community nurse can help you determine your needs and provide services accordingly.
